Netherlands and five countries in its vicinity have taken the next towards the formation of a single combined airspace. Their Functional Airspace Block (FAB) is eventually intended to lead to a Single European Sky. The Airservices Australia’s management of the country’s air traffic control has been criticised by Virgin Blue’s CEO Brett Godfrey for its lack of staffing.
